This page lists and details the methods used to travel across Creare.
Land[edit]
The most common method of traveling in Creare is in fact escorted walking, but this section details the other ways of crossing the lands.
Pulled Carriage[edit]
Crystal Wagon[edit]
A Crystal Wagon is a self-propelled carriage, powered by the magic of one or more crystals. They are somewhat rare in the world, like most Crystal Technology, though when it is in use, it is used for primarily trade purposes, and in some military crafts, though most nations have since re-purposed those.
Riding[edit]
Sea[edit]
Though the oceans of Creare are rather dangerous due to unhampered dungeon tunneling on the seabed, ways have been perfected to reduce risk when traveling the open seas.
Rowboat[edit]
A Rowboat is a small vessel, generally made from a light material such as wood, skystone, or specially prepared cork. Largely used for personal transport across lakes, down rivers and across the looser Sandseas.
Sail Ship[edit]
Sail Ships are larger ocean-going vessels, using the winds to travel, capturing it in great and collapsible sails, stored during intense storms and wild monster attacks. If the wind is dead, or the sails and masts could not be collapsed in time, most ships have a full compliment of oars between one and two dozen in number.
Crystal Ship[edit]
A Crystal Ship is a rare seafaring vessel that is capable of traveling across the oceans at great speeds, and creating incredible destruction when used for war, though in the present era the remaining crystal ships are used primarily for trade and the transport of the wealthy, their atypically heavy armament making them incredibly secure against ocean-dwelling monsters as well as any airborne creatures.
Air[edit]
In this section methods of traveling across Creare's skies are listed.
Air Balloon[edit]
Crystal Airship[edit]
Lightfoot Magic[edit]
Cross-Dimensional[edit]
This section details ways to travel to dimensions and planes other than the one Creare itself rests upon.
Dimensional Portal[edit]
Instantaneous[edit]
This section is for methods of transport that do not use any intermediate medium for reaching a destination.
Teleportation Magic[edit]

Prototypical Methods[edit]
This section describes methods of transportation not commonly used throughout Creare, either due to safety concerns or difficulty of use, and is included for completeness and as a creative hook.
Blast Cart[edit]
A Blast Cart is a carriage which is not pulled, but rather pushed or 'blasted' forward by (theoretically) controlled magical or fiery explosions, though this is far from a perfected technology, often destroying the cart, if not the rider. The creation of the original blast cart is attributed to many sources, most of which did not live to brag about it, though more cynical mages believe that any magically-gifted being left to their own devices for long enough will attempt to solve all of life's problems with increasing amounts of explosions.
Mage Ship[edit]
A Mage Ship works on very similar principles to that of a normal sail ship, the key difference being that the sails billow not because of natural wind currents, but because of many magic users channeling the air itself into a powerful forward motion. The base of this theory is sound, and if possible would be many times faster than conventional sail ships, and much more maneuverable. In practice however, magic is much more difficult to channel when on water, possibly due to live crystals and dungeons being far away, and as such the arcane energies available to channel being much weaker.
