Organising (Creare)
There's a lot to be added to here, I know, I just can't organise my thoughts as neatly as they'd need to be. For now let's just take it easy.
World[edit]
Opening[edit]
First and foremost, in Creare, things of a fantastical nature are mundane. Riddles may be taught as a matter of personal safety (lest a Sphinx block your way) and the daily shopping may be halted on account of an imminent goblin attack requiring the militia's personal attention.
Science vs Magic[edit]
This is not a classic Tolkienian fantasy however. Science, on average, equates to Earth's Late Middle Ages/Early Renaissance, though Creare is older than this, the present times calling it 1736AR (After Ruin, marking the time after the Great Fall), and bizarre combinations of magic and science are not unheard of, though distrusted, as magic often is.
Religion[edit]
Religion is commonly practiced and accepted as truth, justifying the source of divine miracles, though no one unifying God or pantheon is worshipped by all, worship being a personal affair, with perhaps a single local temple to a specific deity in town influencing residents on whom they should give thanks to.
Editor Policies[edit]
Firstly, try and build on what's already there if you can, and try to be courteous if you feel like someone else's work isn't in-keeping with the world's thematic setting. Personally, I'm trying to avoid railroading, but if something does really sound wrong like incredibly inappropriate technology or an event that doesn't fit in with other events and the world's internal logic I might step in. Hopefully that won't happen though. ^_^; - Warpshade 14:54, 15 August 2011 (PDT)
Don't Be a Dick[edit]
Just saying. I don't think I need to elaborate on the boundaries of this.
Things for New Editors[edit]
This will help. It'll help so much it's on the Main Page too.
Using Talk Pages and User Pages[edit]
If you want to try an idea out first without changing or creating a page, consider writing out your idea in your user page or on a related talk page.
